Recently 'Grid-tie' system  was installed to save the electricity bill which uses up 200 odd units per month. For this 8 panel system was used  which feeds about 300 Volts direct current on a sunny day to the inverter which converts it to 230 Volts alternating current and feeds it to the mains

 After the use of the above system , the electricity bill drastically reduces and its less than Rs.200/ per month. But you need to invest during installation. The installation can be done by the dean by Solartherm, near the  Castle street level crossing, Borella, Colombo,  , in one day using Solar panels from Sun Power Canada and Inverter from Fronius of Austria. The installation of the two meters for input and output of current was done by the Ceylon Electricity Board which supplies the mains current. The Solar system is developing these days as many of the modern techniques and technologies are used for harnessing the solar energy. Thus the use of the solar energy has reduced the electricity bill drastically.

So it is always advisable for everyone to use the solar energy for every small work. This will save our nature and keep the environment clean and the energy crisis will drastically reduce. Hence, it is much environmental friendly option which is also financial friendly to the users of this system.
